If you are working with pictures online, sometimes, you will need to re-size your picture. If you are familiar with graphic softwares, then you probably know how to resize pictures. But, if you are a newbie, you may soon realize that graphic software can be quite costly. Know though that there are some free options you can resort to.

Photobucket.com allows you to resize images to predetermined measurements. It also lets you create slide shows and more. You will be asked to register for an account with them to use these services. They offer paid accounts, but you only need the free account to do the things mentioned above.

To resize your photo, sign into your Photobucket.com account and on the main page, click on upload images link - upload your photo. After you upload your photo, you simply hit the browse button and look through the pictures stored on your computer. Look for the photo you want to resize, click on it and it will open to a new screen with a large view of your image and several icons, such as ‘rotate’, ‘send to email’, and ‘resize’. The resizing option has different preset sizes, such as “avatar” size to use on message boards as well as a “website” size that you can place on your website.
